Because sometimes in life, questions arise.

How long does a session usually last?

Most portrait sessions last between 60-90 minutes. Some sessions last longer depending on the need and service. The goal is to create images that are truly representative of you and/or your family and we guarantee that each person will get the attention that they deserved to make that possible.

How many photos do you take during a session?

On average, each session can produce roughly 100-200 captured frames. Keep in mind that the actual number of frames captured could be less for those sessions that use multiple locations, have large groups and/or numerous clothing changes.

I like your work, so how do I schedule a portrait session?

Head over to the contact page, fill out the form and we will contact you within 48 hours.

What location(s) should we choose for our session?

Your choice of location(s) is only limited by your creativity. We’ll work together to choose suitable location(s) that fit your personality and style.

Do you offer retouching?

Yes we do. Images for basic retouching consist of cropping, color temperature, vibrancy, saturation, brightness and contrast. Effects such as gray-scale (black & white) and sepia are available under basic retouching. Advance retouching is an extra charge; includes skin softening, acne/blemish removal, facial hair removal, teeth whitening, eye enhancement, minor face and body contouring.

Do you have a studio?

Like many photographers, I am mostly an on-location photographer; however, if you would like to have your portraits taken in a studio environment, that’s not a problem at all and accommodations can be made to achieve this.

Do you photograph clients in their homes?

We do! The home is the place that you spend most of your time as a family and offers a place that is meaningful, comfortable, and familiar. All of these things are the basis for beautiful portraits.

Can I bring a friend or pet along for a couple of pictures?

Sure! However, if you are going to bring your pet(s), make sure you have somewhere to keep them when they’re not being photographed. Having someone present to hold their leash is especially important when it’s too hot to leave them in the car for a while.

What if it rains the day of my session?

Sometimes inclement weather is bound to happen and possibly on the day that your portrait session is scheduled. On those days where the weather may be a little blah, you will be notified no later than 2 hours prior to your session if we need to reschedule.

How long will it take to receive my photos?

After shooting your session, it generally takes us 3 to 5 business days to cull and sort your images and prepare a proofing gallery or contact sheet. Once the proofing gallery/contact sheet is ready, we will send you an email with the link and with instructions on how to view and select your images. After we have received your selections, you can expect delivery of your finished image files in ten (10) business days or less. Be sure to ‘Like’ the A.H. Photography Facebook page and follow us on Instagram – sometimes we will post an early image or two from a session.

Can I share my photos on Facebook or other social media?

Definitely! We would love for you to share your photos on Facebook and other social media outlets. The only thing that we ask is that you refrain from posting high-resolution files. It’s for that reason that we provide complimentary web optimized digital files with our logo of all purchased images to help reduce the theft and misuse of images. Be sure to tag us!

Do you photograph events?

Yes, we do! When photographing events, we use a documentary-style approach. We try to be as inconspicuous as possible to the guests and event. We are available for birthday and anniversary parties, weddings, baby showers, family reunions and other special events, including fundraisers and corporate events.
